Horizon's approach to mud logging is a unique blend of experience (over 5,000 wells) and innovation. Working with a number of our customers, we developed a well site process designed to ensure customer satisfaction every day on every job. Our people are trained in this process-based approach and every log is reviewed twice daily (by a supervisor and a quality control analyst) to ensure it is complete and accurate.
We also developed a technology suite that provides 24/7/365 access to real-time drilling and gas detection data, formation tops and other critical wellsite variables. You can access this information over the web or your mobile phone, giving you the up-to-the-second accuracy you need to make critical decisions about the well.
Our geosteering services were developed over time based upon our participation in horizontal drilling from its earliest days. Since then we have worked on over 2,000 horizontal wells, developing a sophisticated methodology for helping geologists make the right decisions in steering horizontal drilling. We go far beyond the gamma ray analysis of our competitors by examining wellsite geological data and by focusing on extensive communication between the large number of interested parties--geologist, directional driller, company man, engineer and MWD technicians.
