For over 20 years Horizon has provided outstanding service and technological innovation to the mid-continent oilfield service industry. In 2009 we brought professional mud logging to the Marcellus Shale and rapidly became the logger of choice, building a complement of over 80 people in less than 18 months. In early 2010, Horizon expanded its professional version of mud logging and geo-steering--what we are now calling field geology--to south Texas to support the rapidly-growing Eagle Ford play.
In late 2010, Horizon brought professional field geology to the Rockies. With a support location headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Horizon's degreed geologists perform logging and geosteering in the DJ, Powder River and Williston Basins. Geosteering is also supported by our National Geosteering Operations Center in Tulsa so that you have multi-shift, 24x7 geosteering coverage to successfully complete the longer laterals that are common on Rockies wells.
Horizon is one of the largest firms in the country and we have rapidly developed a national reputation that is unequalled by our peers. We have logged over 1,500 horizontal wells in unconventional plays and have built business processes that ensure our customers' information needs are met in these unique wells. Over 130+ degreed geologists in our workforce allow Horizon to bring a level of professionalism and quality to mud logging that simply cannot be matched by the competition.
Horizon also brings an unparalleled level of technology to the Rockies. Does your mud logger allow you to access real-time drilling depth, ROP and gas information 24x7? Can you see formation top information online? Can you get all of this information on your phone? Is your gas chromatograph reliable and accurate enough to identify potential liquids? If not, you should probably call Horizon to talk about how easy it can be to get the information you need, when you need it, every time.
