2011 is another fantastic year for Horizon as we doubled in size and expanded our reach. We are national in scope, with operations in Appalachia, the Mid-Continent, South Texas and the Rockies. In order to keep up with this tremendous growth, in 2010 we started the Horizon Geologist Development Program (HGDP) as the premier training and development program for geologists looking to work in the oil/gas industry.
The HGDP is a program for recent geology graduates (preferably 2008 or later) who are interested in establishing a solid foundation in geological field work in the energy industry. We provide a rigorous training program and professional work environment, you provide the geological education and desire to learn. Our HGDP is a fantastic entry level program for those holding Bachelor's or Master's degrees in geology (or a related earth science).

In 2011, Horizon is introducing GeoSchool, another ground-breaking program for our industry segment. GeoSchool is a six-week intensive training program designed as an onramp to the energy industry. GeoSchool is paid training that leads to a great career in the oiilfield. It is an entry-level program that requires no experience or geology degree, only the willingness work hard at learning the industry and servicing our customers.
