The Bloodhound by iBall Instruments

  • Non-dispersive Infrared Sensor with detection of C1 – nC4
  • Accuracy ± 3% from 0 to 10,000 gas units
  • Reads up to 5% CO2
  • Reads up to 500 PPM H2S (though it should not be used as the rig’s primary H2S detector)

Flame Ionization Detector (FID)

  • Proprietary equipment detects C1 – C5

Pason Gas Analyzer

  • On-demand, real-time gas chromatograph
  • One-second sampling of C1 – nC5 (nC4 – nC5 reported as C4)
  • Detects and reports CO2
  • Automatically plots wetness, balance, and character ratios
  • Must have a Pason EDR on the rig

The DQ1000 by Fluid Inclusion Technologies
