Excellence Logging understands the need to continually develop and train our employees. We accomplish this through a combination of classroom instruction and field training.

All new field employees, regardless of logging experience level, begin their employment with Excellence Logging by going through Pre-Field Training at our Company Training Center. Here they focus their learning on Excellence Logging culture, customer service, drilling operations, communications, quality assurance, software, and equipment. Following this training, new employees are sent to the field for on-the-job training conducted by our most experienced Lead Loggers. After shadowing experienced loggers and proving themselves ready to work independently, they work in the field as loggers, gaining experience operating under Excellence Logging standards of excellence, serving our customers, and enhancing our services.

As loggers progress in their abilities and performance, they move from night logger to Lead Logger and become responsible for all Excellence Logging work on that particular well. As the Lead Logger, they are expected to perform at a very high level and instruct and mentor less-experienced employees in rig operations, geology, communication, and quality.

Excellence Logging’s training and development system is designed to provide customer service excellence and, in the process, develop the most knowledgeable, experienced, and capable field geologists in the industry.
